The wind that moves things forward. The prime cause: people.

We build websites, mobile apps, and the systems behind them for companies who want a partner that shows up prepared and stays for the long run.

About us

Every company has a first cause. We named ours before we built anything.

A standard decided before the first decision is made. Ours is people. Not people in the abstract, but each individual, irreplaceable and unrepeatable.

The name

Ventaris comes from the Latin ventus, wind. Wind fills sails, carries seeds to new soil, clears the air. It doesn't create the destination, it makes the journey possible.

Prima Causa is Aristotle's term for the first cause, the reason behind every reason, the foundation beneath all foundations.

Our Prima Causa

We believe every company has a first cause, a standard decided before the first decision is made. We named ours before we built anything: our Prima Causa is people.

People is where every decision begins and ends, and it means three things to us, held with equal weight.

People who use what we build

Real problems, real joy

We solve real problems and create real joy, and we don't draw a line between the two. Both are ways of saying we thought about you when we made this.

People who work with us

A partner, not a vendor

Clients deserve a partner who shows up prepared, communicates honestly, and delivers with care. Every engagement is a long-term relationship, because trust is built over time.

People on our team

World-class work, home for dinner

Indonesia produces some of the world's most gifted engineers and builders. They deserve meaningful work, fair reward, and the chance to build something great without leaving the people they love.

Every line of code, every product, every client, every teammate: does this improve someone's life?

We ask the same question every time, and we hold ourselves to the answer without exception. Prima Causa. The first cause. The reason before all other reasons. Ours is people.

Vision

To be the partner that proves world-class software can be built in Indonesia, measured not by what we ship, but by the lives it improves.

Mission

  1. Build things people are glad to use Solve real problems and create real joy, without drawing a line between the two.
  2. Be a partner clients can rely on Show up prepared, communicate honestly, deliver with care, and treat every engagement as a relationship rather than a transaction.
  3. Give Indonesian talent somewhere worth staying Meaningful work, fair reward, and the chance to build something great close to the people they love.
  4. Hold every decision to one question Does this improve someone's life? We answer it before we commit, every time.

Services

What we build, and what we help you decide.

Four practices that work together, so the product you launch, the systems behind it, the plan that shapes it, and the engineers who build it can all come from one team.

Website development

Company profiles, storefronts, and web platforms built to load fast, rank well, and stay easy to update after we hand them over.

  • Company profile & landing pages
  • E-commerce and payment integration
  • Custom web applications & dashboards
  • CMS so your team can edit without us
  • Responsive design, SEO foundations, speed

Apps development

Mobile products for Android and iOS, from a first release that proves the idea to the internal tools your operations actually run on.

  • Native Android & iOS
  • Cross-platform builds for one budget
  • Internal & field-operations apps
  • API and third-party service integration
  • Play Store and App Store release

IT solution consultant

For when the question is bigger than one product: what to build, what to buy, what to retire, and in which order.

  • System & architecture review
  • Digital transformation roadmap
  • Integrating systems that don't talk yet
  • Cloud, infrastructure & cost planning
  • Security, data protection & compliance

System Engineering Service (SES)

For when you need engineering capacity inside your own project rather than a finished product. We assign our engineers to work alongside your team for an agreed period.

  • Frontend, backend, mobile & infrastructure engineers
  • QA specialists and project managers
  • From one engineer, minimum three months
  • Delivered remotely from our Jakarta team
  • Task direction always comes from our team lead

SES engagements run differently from project work. See how an SES engagement works.

Service flow

How to work with us

Six stages, each ending with something you can hold: a document, a demo, a release. You always know where the project stands and what comes next.

01

Consultation

We listen before we propose anything. You tell us the problem, who it affects, and what success looks like. If we're not the right team for it, we'll say so here.

You leave withProblem brief, scope direction, and an indicative budget and timeline. No cost, no obligation.

02

System & solution design

We turn the brief into a plan: what gets built, how it fits your existing systems, which technology it runs on, and what it costs. Nothing is left as "we'll figure it out later".

You leave withFeature list, user flow and wireframes, system architecture, tech stack, and a firm proposal.

03

Agreement

We put the plan in writing so both sides are protected: scope, milestones, payment terms, and who is responsible for what. Then we kick off with the people who'll do the work in the room.

You leave withSigned contract and scope of work, milestone and payment schedule, NDA, and a named project contact.

04

Development & testing

We build in short sprints and show you working software at the end of each one, not status reports. Quality assurance runs alongside development, and you test it yourself before anyone calls it done.

You leave withSprint demos, a staging environment you can open anytime, QA reports, and user acceptance testing.

05

Deployment

We take it live. Servers configured, data migrated, store submissions handled. Your team is trained before launch day, not after it.

You leave withProduction release, store approval, documentation, team training, and full handover of source code and credentials.

06

Support & growth

Launch is the middle of the project, not the end. We stay on for warranty and monitoring, then keep improving the product as you learn what your users actually do with it.

You leave withWarranty period, agreed response times, monitoring and backups, and a roadmap for the next release.

Every project is different. Small, well-defined work can move from consultation to agreement in a week; a platform replacement takes longer and deserves to. We'll tell you which one yours is at stage one.

How an SES engagement works

SES is a contract for our engineers' labour and expertise, not for a finished product delivered at the end. Work is delivered remotely from our team in Jakarta, and every task instruction runs through our own team lead. That keeps the arrangement a genuine service contract rather than disguised dispatch.

  1. You ask for capacityTell us the engineering help you need and for how long.
  2. We agree the scope in writingA statement of work setting out what the engagement covers and what it needs to achieve.
  3. Our lead runs the workYour goals are translated into tasks by our team lead, who assigns them, manages the engineers, and answers for the output.
  4. You stay in the loopJoin any meeting, raise any request, and set the priorities and outcomes you need. Task level instructions to individual engineers come from our lead, not from your team.

Careers

Build something great without leaving the people you love.

Indonesia produces some of the world's most gifted engineers and builders. We think they deserve work worth doing, paid properly, close to home.

Work that answers to someone

Every project passes the same test we hold ourselves to: does this improve someone's life? You will know who your work is for.

Fair reward, plainly stated

World-class work earns world-class pay. We discuss numbers openly at the first interview rather than at the end.

Home for dinner

Great engineering and a life outside it are not a trade-off here. We plan projects so that crunch is the exception, not the method.

Range, not repetition

Websites, mobile apps, and systems consulting sit in one team, so you can go deep in a craft without doing the same ticket for three years.
